Time and again, we have reverted to the same points to help you understand how simple our teaching is. It does not relate to high misty theories, which must make people reflect lengthily on their meaning before understanding them. The way of the heart does not burden itself with useless twists and turns; it is clear and luminous for those who actually want to see it in its simplicity. Its effectiveness stems from this beauty that can be easily discovered through a joyful and trustful approach. Here, there are no erudite words, no tortuous practices, and no scourging, only a process followed scrupulously, in absolute confidence of the final success. There is no cudgelling of one's mind; why should the sincere abhyasi do it? He has all the elements. He follows his Master with confidence; the past is abolished, and only the present and the future matter. He sees only the outcome of his spiritual search, by making a clean sweep within himself, i.e., in his heart, loving and offered for the good cause."

Calm your mind and we will be able to start. The surging thoughts that trouble your mind are hindrances to our contact. Sweep these undesirable things away, won't you? You can see it; the ritual is always the same one: to find us in your heart it is necessary to free some place for it. It is under this condition that a true contact can be established. Meditation is based on the same principle; the sublime presence does not put up with the turbulences of the mind. Communing with it entails a favourable state of vacuity. It cannot be otherwise. It is by working on this aspect that the best results can be obtained."
