To certain beings, including you, God chooses to appear abruptly in a precise circumstance, which was the case for you in Lisieux. The revelation was awaiting you in this place and it transformed your life.

The Guru of the gurus has multiple resources. He knows how to pick souls; He waits for the right moment. When the soul has matured, He literally swoops down on it.

You were chosen, my child, yet you still had to make your own way; even guided and supported, human beings have choices to make. They sometimes go astray; they have unfortunate experiences, but they are necessary for them. To carry humans completely would not do them any service. They must sometimes burn their wings in the flames of life. God is the great consoler. To whom does one turn when everything goes wrong? He alone can understand us.

He knows all the weaknesses of His creatures, who must go forward against all odds and progress in spite of the handicaps that hinder them.

When grace literally strikes a being, this divine gift makes His guides smile and it delights their hearts, filled with happiness.
