In a way like ours, we do not impose anything, only the true aspiration of the abhyasi matters. We are not authoritarian; with us, there is no 'brainwashing'.

"An important action is going on in Europe, especially in France, against spiritual movements which are far different from religions. It is worrying because these well-organised actions are geared towards a deprivation of individual freedom of action. This country cannot regress and revert to the obscurantism that prevailed for so long. It is necessary to be patient and wait for people's minds to actually open up.

"Old Europe is lagging behind in many aspects. It is not the leading light of the world any more and has not been for a long time. In many fields, it has a long way to go to catch up. Also, there are two powerful forces that are confronting each other, good and evil, with all the resulting frictions.

"As far as you are concerned, do not lose the thread and do not let yourself be affected by negative comments concerning your way of seeing and leading your life. Your heart is the most precious lantern you can possibly have; trust it to guide your steps."

Love opens all doors. Apart from your spiritual life, you can see it around you: good thoughts and finer feelings, which you express towards others, remove barriers. Beware of certain reactions that you can have towards disagreeable human beings. Try to offset this attitude with an opposite reaction, otherwise you will reinforce theirs.

"Love must be experienced every day. Try to extend the inner state which you experience in your practice to your regular life. It is a rather long training process, but it pays off. Thus, you will not dissociate these two aspects of your life any more.

"You will gain from it; you will face up to events more easily. By responding to aggression with an equivalent reaction, you pollute yourselves. With some effort, you will arrive at a certain degree of self-control. Even if sometimes you lose your temper, you will rectify the situation very quickly.

"That will benefit your inner peace; you will no longer blame yourself for having overreacted. Plunge into yourself and find your calm and the serenity which unites you with the Divine."
