My son has a prime place in my heart, you know it, but yours also is enviable. We have been walking along together since a very long time. Our bonds were established in the very faroff past with both of you. They were not improvised for the occasion in this life.

"Being far away from one's Master creates an emptiness which you can henceforth understand as you strongly experience it. You do not escape the rule, my child. Such bonds are very powerful and cannot be explained humanly.

"My son is now feeling all the tiredness accumulated throughout his voyages, but he does not lower his arms. The divine service has become part and parcel of his nature. Sometimes he sets out again from below to give of his best. The 'new life' is not exceptional to him, perseverance in efforts being one of his characteristics. He is a model for all those who work for the Mission by actually serving him. They must understand in the first instance that nothing is simple or easy in this area, as elsewhere. One needs a great deal of determination to face all kinds of difficulties that necessarily occur. Trusting one's Master is essential, and makes it possible to progress in spite of everything. To lose heart is human, but this should not last too long; faith must remain stronger and allow to take up more critical challenges, i.e., to serve a just cause by serving one's Master."
