My child, God is your only and true refuge, never forget it. All is vain and illusory in this world. Only His grace helps you to live and face up to events. The recent tragedies showed it; they open men's eyes to the precariousness of life and the need for opening up the heart to divine love. Many humans become aware of it in such circumstances and turn to Him, the supreme refuge.
"Nothing is stable and definite; anything can be swept off instantly: a life, a skyscraper, a love which one believed immortal. This is how it goes with the things of life.
"He only remains immutable, omnipresent, in His own way. Men's torments are not innocent; they have their raison d'être. They characterise a destiny likely to make the soul grow – through fire – to join Him in the celestial bliss, where all is perfect.
"Man must burn his dross before aspiring to the ethereal levels where all is beauty, purity and love – a type of love which the common run of people cannot have an idea of, since it is sublime and of divine essence."
