You could not have a better example of surrender, humanity and faith than your favourite saint [St. Thérèse of Lisieux]. In the springtime of your life, she burst into your heart and never left. Her teaching suited you; her devotion was in line with the prevailing family and religious context of the time, but her spirit was universal, which appealed to you.

Your heart was already aspiring to the great spaces where divine love can blossom in total freedom and radiate without restraint, escaping restrictive dogmas. It was calling for the infinite, powerful and exalting love that lifts one above the baseness of this world.

Her purity of heart captivated you. She had a strong influence on you and your two souls remained united in divine harmony.

Every great soul has its own mission; hers was to touch hearts by the simplicity of her path. She did win over an impressive number of souls who were searching; such was her action and her influence, which continues.

God has a rich palette, which He uses advisedly to help His creatures. He has more than one means of attracting them when the moment has come and a soul turns towards Him, thirsting for love and virtue.
