Everything is constantly beginning anew – hours, days, life in its entirety. This eternal cycle recurs at all levels of creation; it can't be otherwise, as this principle is divine in essence.

Human beings have no recourse in this matter, they must respect the cycles of life, live them and cope with everything they entail. The grandeur of this creation is beyond them; they must adjust to its laws and conform to their rigour. The 'power' of human beings is so fragile; their lives hang on very little – 'a breath, a nothing, and nothing more'. This statement sets straight many beliefs concerning the human being; none can defy divine power, that which creates and manages the whole universe. Whatever their greatness, their action and their role here below, human beings must conform to the divine laws and work strictly in accordance with their Karma. This is unavoidable; everything in its minutest detail takes place as foreseen, it can't be otherwise. 'Human beings plan their lives, and what does God do? He laughs.'

It pleases us to state this maxim once again; it sums up everything, or nearly everything. Here, surrender is sovereign; it can lead one to believe that all is easy and that one has only to want something in order to obtain it, which sometimes happens when the wish is aligned with the divine plans. The fabric of destiny resists much turbulence, and human beings in their smallness must face up to things – such is their Karma, whose principle is liberating. It's up to each person to manage it as best they can

and, thanks to it, ride the meanders of the sovereign Spirit. May all be strengthened and enlightened in this quest for the Divine.
