Faith is a divine gift, just like love. Imagine a life without faith – how can one live like that, you all may think. Many do, and with dignity. They can have a full life, help their neighbours and behave honestly.

Why is it so, you say, when so many others who claim they have faith behave so badly towards their brothers and sisters. These are the mysteries of creation. God has His reasons, which are not evident in your eyes. He knows what He does to bring each creature to the point it must reach. A life is only a short spell in this great process of evolution. Humans go through all possible trials, they are put to the test, and they must measure up in all situations. This is what must make them strong and humble while advancing towards perfection.

Humility is a great force, it allows tolerance, a real understanding of the other – it is a major virtue. The way is long and difficult, but success is at the end, and that is well worth the trouble.
