Your importance is negligible compared to that of the Earth, and compared to that of the universe it is non-existent. Don't position yourselves in relation to the infinitely small, but to the infinitely great. Truly put yourselves back in your context and things will be more adjusted for you, we hope.

Nevertheless, each one of you plays your small role, which is not negligible. That might seem contradictory, but it is not.

We want to open your eyes to a reality you're not used to considering.

Many like to think they are the centre of the world, they imagine themselves to be very important. People who play a role of some sort within a company or government, who hold the force of law in the life of a country, think that they have all the rights and don't necessarily respect their fellow human beings. That is so commonplace among some of these people.

The time will come when everyone on this Earth, small or great, will have to be held to account. Sometimes it would be better, in this respect, to be a beggar than a king. The beggar will have more quickly accounted for their life, unless they murdered some unfortunate neighbors to steal a few pennies from them. There are also good kings and bad beggars – we are speaking in generalities.

The heart of an individual can express itself, whatever one's state. Each of these lives we have alluded to has its pitfalls that have to be thwarted if one is an honest person. Each profession can bring out the good sides of the one who practices it. The person can work wonders or sink. One always has a chance to pull through. An opportunity is given at a point in one's life to take the right direction; many people manage to do so and come back from afar.
