Everything is constantly beginning anew – hours, days, life in its entirety. This eternal cycle recurs at all levels of creation. It cannot be otherwise, as this principle is divine in essence.

Human beings have no recourse in the matter. They must respect the cycles of life, while living and coping with everything they entail. The magnitude of this creation is beyond human understanding; people must adjust to its laws and adhere to their rigour. The 'power' of human beings is so fragile – their lives hang on very little – 'a breath, a nothing, and nothing more'. This observation questions many beliefs concerning humanity; no one can defy the divine power, that which creates and manages the whole universe. Whatever their greatness, their work and role here below, human beings have to comply with the divine laws and work strictly in accordance with their Karma. Karma is unavoidable. Everything in its minutest detail takes place as planned; it cannot be otherwise. 'Human beings plan their lives and what does God do? He laughs.'

We are pleased to state this maxim once again; it sums up everything, or nearly so. Here, surrender is sovereign. It can lead one to believe that everything is easy and that one has only to want something in order to obtain it, which sometimes happens when the wish is in tune with divine purposes. The fabric of destiny resists much turbulence, and human beings in their smallness must face up to things – such is their Karma,

whose principle is redeeming. It is up to each and every person to manage it as best they can and to ride, by means of it, the meanders of the sovereign Spirit.

May all be strengthened and enlightened in this quest for the Divine.
