The river follows its course; all Earthly elements follow an unchanging cycle. The laws cannot be circumvented, and humans – like everything in creation – are subject to these principles. Humans believe they are free, but although they are granted some latitude, they have no prerogative over the destiny that is reserved for them. They have to live and cope with it. Choices are reserved for them, but whether they make them judiciously or not is another question. Nothing is simple, and it is not always easy to leave aside one's tendencies and poorly made decisions. Following a spiritual path is a way for humans to understand and realise their smallness in the face of the divine power, and to do their best to progress. The material side is one aspect of this life. People are offered broad prospects in a process like this one where everything is accomplished discreetly, out of human sight. This very special asset is offered by divine grace; blessed are those who, in their lifetime, have this opportunity to move towards the Ultimate.

Abhyasis do not always become aware of their progress, of the work being done in them and the miasmas of which they have been divested. No incarnate being is perfect. All must rid themselves of what is unnecessary and advance with faith and courage, greatly helped in this by the power of the living Master and the vital forces that constitute the alliance of Masters of the Sahaj Marg Mission. They are attentive to the needs and requests of each one and of this entire Mission, which is sustained as it

should be beyond this world. "What must be will be," and Sahaj Marg will continue its course against all odds.
