You can see how trials can transform a being; this boy has made good progress. He will leave behind him very beautiful achievements, both materially and spiritually.

Each life has its raison d'être. Its joys, and especially its trials, are ennobling when they are accepted with gratitude. It is not easy to arrive at this point, but such are the ways of God. Every being on this Earth has the opportunity to grow, to overcome the painful aspects that are sometimes necessary for ennobling one's soul.

These reasons are not easy to understand, and yet they are essential. Our aspirants are privileged in that we help them to become aware of a higher reality, the importance of which human beings cannot grasp because of their smallness. Following a spiritual path provides adequate illumination and allows one to grow in the face of the immortality of the soul – an emanation of the Divine, which is hardly accessible to human understanding.
