In a way, suffering is the engine of life. Animals and plants – neither are spared. All kingdoms are involved in this process which humans find difficult to understand. There is acceptance at all levels, and rebelling in the face of laws does not lead to any results apart from resentment. Surrender is precious, and this can be verified in many situations – such is the basis of teachings in spirituality. Nothing is ever simple. Following a spiritual path does not spare one from the vicissitudes of life but rather helps one to better let go of what is unnecessary. In many circumstances, bringing things back to the basics helps a person take stock and act as best as possible. The being gradually develops with the passing of time and with events that occur in this process. In everything, one has to face up to things, to appropriately set aside time to practise; this interiorisation often allows one to better cope with the uncertainties of life. “The practice of Sahaj Marg is full of resources which can be discovered with perseverance and the faith one gives to them. A lifetime is short in comparison to eternity; it is best to devote one’s best to it. It is not easy to look at things this way, and yet no one escapes the rigour of laws that are even less accommodating than those established by human beings. Interiorisation allows one to stand outside the excesses of a world that is so troubled, and in more than one way. Everything is possible in this area; faith and grace are remedies capable of helping human beings beyond their expectations. May all our abhyasis be committed as is proper. They will not regret it. “Special blessings.”
