Bonds of the past, those that link to God, remain strong from one incarnation to another.* They help the inner being to shape itself and consolidate what already exists, thanks to the edifying aspect of a life offered up and whose action can be found in each one of them. To love and serve is a privilege which a soul can be honoured with, in terms of the continuity and the opportunities offered to it. To love is to give one's best, to offer unceasingly and to surpass oneself by being more and more united with the Divine.

"The history of this world is a good illustration of these remarks. This world is full of known or hidden lives that deeply refer to higher forces, on whose behalf they generally act in obscurity.

"All has its raison d'être. We will never say it enough, since man generally neglects this aspect of things. He revolts and blithely storms about, blaming any and all for his troubles, neglecting to reason with wisdom. It takes time to bring a soul to perfection. Where would the beauty and greatness of the achievement be if it did not require so much effort?

"All these lives spent on Earth offer many experiences that have a special characteristic feature and that bring the being to express himself completely. This saint, a nun of the past who came to see you recently, deeply influenced hearts, and yours benefited from this when you were young. Small and ignored in her Carmelite convent, she nonetheless gave, by this example, a teaching of great wisdom in terms of the simplicity of its contents, which touched souls deeply, more than any other sophisticated writing. --Reflections

My child, don't get older. The simplicity of heart is the most beautiful present that one can receive. Humility is an invaluable treasure for a soul in quest of the Absolute. The way to this state of consciousness is long. When it is acquired, it is advisable to keep to it absolutely. Let your heart exhale its fragrance; one day it will touch other hearts that are stripped of useless aspects.

"Through these lines, they will feel divine inspiration; there are true mystics among our brothers and sisters, capable of liking such comments without finding them vapid. To go towards simplicity, towards wisdom, is to become again like little children whose minds are not overburdened by the wanderings of an overactive mind, concealing from them a very simple truth.

"Indeed, truth is simple. It has nothing to do with complicated formulas relished by some lost seekers. May light emerge in them and bring them little by little towards the banks fragrant with the most subtle scents.
