To stop and look back allows reflection on one's life. Is it conclusive, beneficial, and does it go in the right direction? This analysis is necessary; it allows modification of certain behaviours not completely in compliance with a spiritual process.

"The way is long and difficult, much more so than it seems at the beginning; victory over oneself is more than praiseworthy. This framework being established, one has yet to do one's own work; it is critical, contrary to what some of our aspirants believe who completely rely on the Master's work. His work is of primary importance, but it is good, periodically, to recall that much personal effort is equally important, as well as an appropriate attitude.

"What results from this is a state of mind, a way of being. Feeling the effects of grace in oneself is very important. These moments should be developed, relished and maintained through faith and determination to follow through with this divine quest.

"The Master and the disciple are bound together in a mystical impulse where the seeker feels he is caught up by a kind of vibratory swirl elevating his soul towards the summits. These moments of communion are intense; they do not necessarily occur at the Master's feet and that is good. Distances do not count when fervour is there; it unites seeking hearts in a kind of delectable osmosis.

"May all our brothers progress and recognise themselves in a highly spiritualised movement where tepidness and hesitation do not foster elevation.

May our blessings and love touch their hearts and motivate them. This is our constant wish."

Uncertainties are inevitable on the human plane. Human beings plan their lives, and what does God do? He laughs. Thus the divine laws impose that which must come about, and people can only comply – doesn’t everything have its raison d’être? Human beings have a very limited view of things in an illusory world that constantly deceives them. Here we see it differently, hence our ability to solve problems. Since the dawn of time, humanity has been suffering. Things will be different one day, after big changes whose reality cannot be seen by human beings of today. “Through its action on the spiritual plane, the way of Sahaj Marg is working for the welfare of one and all, even if the effects of this are not visible at the human level. That which is achieved in a way like this is significant; it contributes to the general elevation. What is good for a human being benefits everyone. Negativity, violence and all wickedness released by evil are an unspeakable plague. Contributing to the good of humanity by working on oneself – and by extension for the general good – is a generous act that testifies to great wisdom. We can see in this Mission of Sahaj Marg that brothers and sisters are advancing without really even being aware of it; there lies the greatest asset of this extraordinary path of the heart. “Blessings to all.”
