Let joy remain in you. That is the key to success – in faith, surrender and love. The formula is not new: how can one seek God with a sad face? Advancing with one's heart full of joy and inner peace reduces the burden and leads the aspirant to rise above his condition.

"Thus, the pilgrim is no longer preoccupied with his rocky path; he lets himself be attracted by a hidden beauty that appears to his dazzled eyes. Becoming aware of this and practising with this awareness as much as possible, leads to serenity and makes it possible to undergo ordeals with less difficulty. Man is passing through his time on the Earth. Nothing is his, nor is it definitive; man's tragedy is that he is not aware of this.

"All is ephemeral and misleading. Whatever happens must be considered with proper hindsight: both bad and good things. In this illusory world, all is fluctuating; the river runs in its bed and yet the sky is changing, thus resembling the destiny of the being living in this world.

"May our brothers find a balance in their practice and, most importantly, the strength allowing them to put into perspective all the twists and turns of their Earthly life!

"Life will then take on another meaning for them, as our way will open up new horizons. Their quest will continue confidently, their vision will become clearer and they will understand the need for being diligent. It is up to them to manage, or not, this aspect of their personality, whose importance is no longer questionable. May they all be strengthened and blessed!" --Reflections

Our great son Parthasarathi, the Master of all of you, also suffered when he had to take on the succession as the head of this great and beautiful Sahaj Marg Mission. How can fervent abhyasis who are faithful to the incumbent Master not respect what has long been planned and ordered by the higher authorities to ensure the succession when the time for it has come? It is sad after so many years to once again witness the unfortunate positions [people hold] with respect to this issue. That situation is serious and not commendable; let us hope that years of spiritual practice by our truly fervent abhyasis have brought about a mindset of surrender, and more so of respect for our decisions. Resistance in some abhyasis denotes an ego that is saddening in a spiritual path capable of leading them to the height of their quest – something which is not commonplace. Not seizing such an opportunity in one’s lifetime is regrettable for the person concerned and damaging to the whole Mission. “Unity builds strength; respect for the Masters ensures cohesion and helps an aspirant grow. Human beings cannot understand everything. Concerning our intentions and the decisions that must be made beyond the limited human understanding of divine plans, it would be wiser for people to recognise and respect our choices, for their own good and that of the whole Mission. May all our abhyasis grow in wisdom and reach the goal under our blessings and encouragement which are meant to foster their elevation. To all the best.”
