It is not always easy to see beyond the vagaries of this material world; it can take time to understand the subtle intricacies of karma. Each difficulty enables one to move forward when its deep meaning is understood, and above all when it is accepted. From this perspective, difficulties make one stronger, more determined to move forward against all odds under the conditions that present themselves. Remaining confident – strengthened by a spiritual journey in which the incarnate Master guides the steps of the seeker who is convinced and following in his wake – none of this is ever simple. Trials are there for everyone and the Greatest Beings do not escape them. Life is like that: an incarnation in this world is subjected to the rules that govern the world with great rigour. “Acceptance is the beginning of wisdom, and it is absolutely essential here below. The most difficult episodes are challenging, but when they are lived in the best way possible, they save valuable time. It is not simple to manage one’s life and the destiny that characterises it. Accepting, and moreover giving thanks, makes one stronger in the face of adversity. Many of our brothers and sisters experience suffering on a daily basis; whether it is physical or moral, it has a purpose. It is not easy to understand this – wisdom born of acceptance yields the best results on this extraordinary journey. “Human beings feel small in the face of adversity; a heartfelt commitment remains the best asset. The ‘divine compass’ guides the steps of the seeker, whose confidence is crucial. The results will be surprising when the time comes for taking stock; nobody escapes it. May each of our abhyasis achieve the best – to that end, everything is being done. This is how it goes.”
