The way toward perfection is very long and difficult. Striving for it, making efforts in that direction is commendable. It cannot be easily reached as the Earth is not its chosen place. The human being is confronted by all temptations. They belong to his daily life and it is not easy for him to escape from them. His nature encourages him to benefit from what he is offered by life. The ascetic can turn his back on worldly goods by dint of much renunciation.

"Certain great sages lived exemplary lives in this respect. Our way does not require similar sacrifices of you. We give you the basic grounding, the necessary means to develop, but it is up to you to manage your life according to your own aspirations. We do not suggest to you to isolate yourself from the world, to waive the possession of your goods, or your family. These aspects are very personal. It is advisable for each one to come to terms with oneself and reconcile material and spiritual life. Both can be led in parallel; great mystics proved it, yesterday and today. What takes place in man's heart is his own business. Our candidates chose a way, a Master, to whom they entrusted their destiny. This choice was made with full knowledge of the facts; their fidelity proves the depth of their commitment. They have confidence and they are right; their choice could not have been better."

Your heart is a flower, the beauty of which is attended to by the divine gardener, as you call him. It enjoys watching it opening out, smelling its scent, that which the sense of smell cannot detect.

"Your steps on the Earth are painful, but your heart is free throughout its achievements. They are concealed from men's eyes. You offer them to us with all humility. We know that you would like these comments to be hidden as well; all that matters for your heart is the love that irresistibly drives you towards us.

"Nothing else exists in your eyes but this love which gives you the courage to live and do what is expected from you.

"You are approaching a level of detachment which does not make it easy to cope with daily life and the worries thereof.

"You offer your torments to us, as well as your sufferings, since you cannot escape them and you only accept them in this spirit.

"My dear daughter, the divine gardener is concerned with your heart, above all. He provides it with attentive care, in the form of graces, which it relishes.

"Be blessed on this day when this heart is especially offered to Him."
