Life on Earth is so transient. When will men understand it and have more compassion for their brothers? This fierceness in harming others is a root difficult to extirpate from certain hearts that do not want to understand or hear anything. We once again revert to this aspect of humanity that is deeprooted. That reinforces us in our determination to help the souls that only await the chosen guide to evolve. Everything urges us to act accordingly. Choosing our way is an indication of the pressing need to advance towards other values, which are likely to show life from a different perspective.

"Each one has so much to do with his own life, and does not need to interfere in others', to see their faults and criticise them. His personal program being vast, it should be enough for him, as perfection cannot be obtained easily. Man is incorrigible; he can see what is wrong in others before realising that it is himself whom he sees in his brother. Forbearance is the first step on the path of transformation; perfection is the outcome of it. It will take time to get there. A spiritual process contributes to making it less arid. It helps to drop the blinkers, to realise that God is in every one and that humanity is as one. This large sick body must be regenerated by the power of the spirit; each one of you has his specific role in this vast undertaking, which is not futile. It is up to you to see and to commit yourself."

Cultivate, with utmost care, the love that you developed in yourself for your Master. It is like a plant of great scarcity; its species is very special and cannot be reproduced at will.

"Arriving at this quality of love is a grace that commands unbounded gratitude. In our mind, it is not about loving the physical person of Master. Here, we are talking about the unfailing bond of soul between Master and disciple, beyond the attachment and admiration that can be aroused by a human being. This bond should not at all incite rejection of the successor who will lead the Mission after him. We all will die in this existence; the Mission will continue expanding in the world and will require a guide of a high stature to accompany it on all levels of its development.

"The true disciple, aware of this irrefutable fact, accepts the succession with gratitude. Knowing the need for a living Master, he offers his services with equal enthusiasm and faith, as the cause that needs serving remains the same. This essential point is to be considered. The true mystic can put things into perspective; he has reached a degree of maturity that protects him from this kind of drifting. Loving one's Master is to accept the successor who was selected to succeed him.

"Our long time aspirants are no longer in spiritual childhood. Loving truly is also that: showing all one's generosity of soul in the face of events in this life, of which what interests us here is paramount for them."
