My dear daughter, your pace is accelerating, you have to adapt to this state. "These remarks may not be very explicit to you, but you must make do with them. You are in a state of surrender, and for this reason it is enough for you to advance as you usually do, without wondering about this aspect of your person.

"This is the best you can do; you are used to acting like that, knowing well that a portion of yourself, which is not the least, escapes you completely. To be in service implies this kind of detachment.

"It is essential, in this business, to trust one's Master above all as well as the higher authorities who institute the rules.

"It is in utmost surrender – as far as this service is concerned – that the great intentions are fulfilled. Each human being has his mysterious side; he remains, until the end of this incarnation, in ignorance of his true personality.

"He must put up with this and play the role which is assigned to him. These many incarnations will inevitably lead to his awakening, which will make him reach higher planes. He will climb the increasingly arid and selective path, step by step. He will find the strength to face up to things and his desire to win will carry him until the end."

"The holy beings shown in this [television] report, participating in one of the biggest festivals in this country, arrived at such a point of evolution that this life of asceticism became natural for them. To live far away from the world in a desireless state in line with their higher spirituality sets an example for millions of Hindus.

"India is one of the oldest countries in the world. This Earth carries a very great number of realised souls that illuminate the world. Thus is the destiny of this country: to counterbalance new countries that are highly industrialised and living in great moral distress, in spite of their elevated standard of living – opposite to that of India. The richness of this country is elsewhere; it provides the world with what it lacks: a true spirituality.

"It is like a beacon guiding the souls who search and are hungry for [true spirituality] because they are cut off from the essence.

"This country is unique in the expression of faith; it can be expressed with the greatest freedom as religions are not dictatorial.

"India is a land chosen for the great illuminated souls, and will keep its status in the future by becoming a high place of refuge for the multitude, after great upheavals."
