Working on one's tendencies is among the challenges an aspirant must take up, in progressing on the way to realisation.

"Nothing can be obtained without steadfastness and perseverance. The way to wisdom winds among temptations of all kinds which attract the senses of the aspirants. The attributes of maya are frightening; they inhibit man, to the extent of hiding from him the reality of his incarnation on the Earth.

"The spiritual quest opens prospects to him. He then understands the frailty of his existence; little by little, he realises why he came and what he must do. Will he have the necessary courage? Man is fragile and easily influenced. His determination must help him overcome inhibiting tendencies. Each human being goes through this kind of test. Will he come out of it victorious? Some aspects to consider are: where exactly is he on the path, and who can tell – apart from the Master to whom he has entrusted his destiny? Without him, the rise is difficult; even with help, it is so. But with his assistance, success is guaranteed.

"God is great and His mercy rewards willing hearts."

The divine leniency is great: all humans profit from it. Grace is present in their life; they are not always ready to assess its effects. It transforms man's heart, by generally imbibing it without his knowledge. Everything is done to allow him to rise; opportunities arise which are not recognised as such, since these are in reality tests to surmount. When he comes out of it victorious, grace abounds and he grows in wisdom. His soul advances towards the light. When he has reached a certain stage of evolution, the gleams he perceives of it leave him stunned and overjoyed.

"This emergence shatters him; he then becomes aware of this transformation that gives another meaning to his life. This work takes place slowly. All benefit from it at different paces, but nobody is excluded. The entire creation benefits from this mercy whereby each atom of creation benefits from the same experience. This long work bears its fruit, even if it is not detectable with the eyes of men.

"You should become well aware of this great principle. Call for the divine grace unceasingly, not only for you, but for all that lives and moves on this Earth, since you are part of it."
