Compassion is the driving force of our action: for our Earthmen brothers, and the others on various levels of existence who are grappling with other problems of a nature quite different from those of the humans but which deserve our attention.

"There is suffering, a lot of suffering. We cannot remain indifferent to that and only relish unutterable joys and take no further interest in our brothers wherever they are.

"Compassion and love are as one. Whatever emanates from a heart attentive to his fellow man necessarily brings relief to misery, whether physical or moral. Other worlds are racked with intense moral suffering that is hard for you to imagine as it is getting more and more serious. These beings are refined to such a point that everything affects them in the depth of their existing structure, wherever they may be. This definition means nothing to you, but what other picture could you be given?

"The more subtle the suffering, the more dreadful it is. In which circumstances and which places it happens, we cannot dwell further on the issue now.

"You have only to know that suffering does not only belong to this world and that developing compassion in you is the desirable approach. By maintaining it in your heart, you contribute to this universal spiritual communion, which helps the worlds in distress."

Tests are necessary for humans. Each test is like a musical note in a sad song. The song accompanies a person’s fate for his or her own good, and its effects are beautiful in the end. Everything has its importance; didn’t the greatest saints also suffer? They emerged stronger, and others in similar circumstances are doing the same today. Doesn’t everything have its raison d’être! Without the worries and continuous trials that some undergo, an incarnation would not have its true meaning. It takes time to understand this and to accept what fate holds, in all its diversity. To grow in wisdom – there lies the real goal, and the noblest one. Nothing is simple for any living being; other kingdoms here below are not spared either. Life is a whole, and to each its own fate, whatever it may be. It is so willed for the good of those who live on Earth. Everything is in everything, and it is all taken into account here below. These subtleties are not easy to understand, and it takes time to recognise this reality: the divine power operates at all levels of creation and consciousness. Human beings are small in the face of creation – a breath, a nothing. That is what they are in a material sense, but the energy that dwells in them is more subtle and nuanced. Spiritual work can change them in part when destiny so provides. Everything has its raison d’être, let us repeat it: it is up to each one to become aware of this higher reality; to act for the utmost deepening of that which a spiritual path can provide through such a transformation of life. Everything is possible; it is up to each one to understand it.”
