We carry our beloved son Parthasarathi in our own manner. Although he is wrapped in a cocoon of light, his important role at the helm of this beautiful Mission is very heavy to bear. Our constant presence by his side is not enough to protect him from everything at the human level. That is the role of a living Master. All Masters have experienced difficult situations, regardless of the period in which they lived, and they came out of their ordeals with an even greater stature. Divine laws cannot be easily understood by humans. ‘Why hast thou forsaken me?’ asked a Grand Master of the past in a moment of extreme suffering. The greatness of a being is often determined by exposure to hardships. Our way is no exception to the rule, and on this matter there is no practical guidebook; common sense, loyalty and spiritual greatness are the hallmarks of those who are chosen. It is not easy for the aspirant to always understand the Master’s daily actions and reactions or the decisions he has to make. Nothing is simple, obviously; however great an incarnate Master, he goes through moments of great pain and suffering. It is unavoidable. All our abhyasis must understand and respect this fact. Humans cannot easily comprehend the complexity of divine laws. Love and surrender alone must guide the aspirant, who need not always ask the same questions on the complexity of life. Everything is written and inescapable. Therefore it is up to the grace of this infinite power and the Masters.”
