Today’s seekers are mistaken about their estimates of the age of the Earth and the number of inhabitants it has had. You will find in this book on Krishna3 some confirmation of that, however it should not be entirely regarded as an authentic history. The Mahabharata history as reported in this film is also not a faithful reflection of reality. “The holy books of all religions also contain some errors. The facts interpreted and told by men are often distorted. They should be taken as a whole without dwelling on the details. “This history of the past is behind you. You, you build the present and the future; this is what matters. What is important for you is to participate in this great adventure of modern times and to do your best so that the world can change in the most important aspects: violence, lack of compassion for the greatest number, selfishness and acts of evil due to the lack of scruples. “If each one of you, our candidates, try to change, you will transform the world and your practice will benefit all.”

Babuji 3 “The modern historians of this earth cannot supply historical evidences of events that occurred before 5,000 years ago, and the anthropologists say that 40,000 years ago Homo sapiens had not appeared on this planet because evolution had not reached that point. But the Vedic histories, such as the Puranas and Mahabharata, relate human histories which extend millions and billions of years into the past.” (Krsna, The Supreme Personality of Godhead by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada)

The ancient writings changed with the passing centuries due to man-made alterations and deletions. "In no religion are the documents presented today identical to the originals. In every era, some people thought they were inspired and made the modifications that they wanted.

"People should beware of that with regard to what we have written. Our books must not meet with the same fate; these are not individual stories given by some people, but our own writing. Even if it has to take time, we hope that one day these messages will be made available to those who will be ready to accept them. We also hope that beings who believe they are superior and claim to follow their inspiration will not make cuts and suppress what they deem inappropriate.

"These writings are to be taken as they are; we insist often enough on this point, knowing men's odd spirit and their assessments, which are often surprising."
