Beware of appearances. If Sahaj Marg seems to be stationary in France, and even regress in some places, this is not happening to a significant extent. "We want motivated sincere abhyasis, who do not attend ashrams for various reasons without being sure of what they want. The Mission must be purified and strengthened.

"Numbers are important, certainly, but not at any cost. We do not go around knocking on doors. People who are really ready to undertake a serious process do not leave the Mission over human contacts that are not always idyllic.

"Let us be serious, no group can escape friction. You are in contact with men and women who have their characters, their personalities, which more or less suit you. Those who dwell on such considerations show a lack of spiritual maturity and we cannot retain them; it is sad for them, but what can we do?

"Never base your process on human relations. You run the risk of being disappointed.

"See the most important things: the Master and the priority of the goal to be reached. You should be guided exclusively by the aspirations of your soul."

Lao–Tze got it right: love triumphs over all. Love is the best thing which man can receive or give. Nothing good, nothing important – humanly speaking – can be done without love. You can cultivate it in you; let it grow to the extent that your cells are imbued with it.

"If you act, if you fight for a right cause and if love guides you, you are bound to succeed. Sooner or later, your efforts will bear fruit. See the example of the Mission, the progress made in twenty years; it is negligible in comparison with eternity, but what a result!

"Love is of the divine essence; its vibration is powerful; it represents a force which you cannot suspect. That of the atom is powerful also, but it can be terribly devastating. Love is a creative form, unique; it is sublime. It is a divine gift, the importance of which incarnate man has started to realise. This concept cannot reach its apogee on the Earth; it prepares you in this life to perceive it as an imposing force on other planes."
