Ignorance as well as the ensuing intolerance are human characteristics. You cannot escape them in your contacts with others, which are accompanied with all these aspects inherent in human nature, and which cannot be controlled by individuals. One has to put up with this by creating for oneself an inner state that places oneself on other planes, and to also have a clearer view of one's own nature. This refuge is the surest. It is not about being disconnected from life, but about being able to interiorise oneself when necessary. You cannot change the world to your liking – that would be too much to hope for – but have only a positive view of one's evolution towards more open-mindedness, understanding and respect for the other. Humanity makes its way in this direction; the results are very slow. It must reach a certain stage to be able to quicken the pace. This cause is not desperate; we are all working towards it. You also can do it, and you contribute to it insofar as you put yourself into an effective spiritual process. What is done on you benefits your brothers and sisters less favoured than you in this aspect. Continue to make progress, obstinately; victory is at the end of the road."

Come and quench your thirst with the divine nectar, my daughter. After this long period of turbulence, your heart needs to calm down and to be intoxicated with it. Let it revel in grace; your heart is longing to be strengthened by it. Each accepted test helps it to get through a step. See how joyful it is in this moment. It feels free, detached from the usual constraints that are the lot of humans. This reward is even more beautiful when the body is tired of suffering so much. For your heart, nothing else exists; it feels broken, but filled with joy, as if it were in front of its God. We know that this kind of speech, which accompanies grace, is also a reward to it. It is sensitive to this formulation. It is a poet; it loves the music of the words, their vibration that carries it, and enthuses it in the love which it distils. Revel in this sovereign calmness; the reward will come afterwards and will manifest itself in the service that you offer to us, haloed with the love it is capable of. This day you have spent relaxing has made this special heart-to-heart easier; we could not let it pass without marking it with a special joy. Remain well conscious of this blessing, my child; tomorrow will be another day."
