You do not have to provide explanations to justify your lassitude. We know better than anyone else the movements of your heart. This results only from a great amount of tiredness generated by what your body is enduring. Your soul emerges from all these troubles beautiful and serene. Thriving on the pure honey of love, it glides in its splendour and is strengthened by the tears and fights which you must lead. It is not indifferent to your struggles; it arbitrates them with lucidity and sufficient hindsight, growing with each one of them. It is refined and becomes as pure as a jewel offered to divinity. Be at peace, all is well, my daughter."

Humility precedes you; it clears the way ahead of you. Without it, all would be more difficult. You are as God created you, and you do not claim any merit for yourself. You keep praising and thanking for what He is doing for you, which attracts His grace. Your heart is full of fervour and gratitude. By advancing in utmost simplicity without illusion about your own merit, you place yourself under His protection. You recognise yourself as small and without other qualities than those He actually wants to give you. This attitude is favourable to your progress; this attitude being natural in you, supports your progress. The mystic must get rid of all that he is loaded down with. A high opinion of himself would slow him down considerably. By being thankful for the benefits received, the seeker places himself in a constructive point of view. By himself, he is nothing but a human being with all his vulnerability. By offering his life to the divinity, he places it under the best auspices. All is given to him; nothing happens by his own doing. By recognising it, the doors are open to him."
