Why do you think we glorify love, that which does not change? Because it does not belong to this world and it is unequalled here. The only reliable thing man possesses is this reference, this reality, which he cannot sense and assess at its true worth, hence his helplessness in many circumstances. Life on this Earth is not reassuring. Nothing is acquired; anything can be lost in one moment: a dear one, a tangible property. Everything changes and is transformed according to the times. He belongs to this system and he complies with it himself, insofar as he is changeable in his feelings and his attachments. There is only one permanent feature in his life: the love he receives from his Creator – irrespective of whether he is aware of it or not. The love he can give Him back is itself changeable, according to his mood and the way in which his life evolves. Sometimes, dramas divert him completely from this divine source. He does not accept the tests, those which touch him in his deepest being. They also have their opposite, the capacity to kindle in him a feeling of gratitude that clears the way to divine love."

Yes, it is rejoicing for us here to see how your relationship is evolving. He is incarnate, as well as you, and you need your Master. This is a concept that Westerners cannot always understand easily. They say, 'Why a Master?' They do not understand well the range of his actions. Many human areas refer to a master, to a guide. Unlike a mountain guide, his presence is not necessary at each step, nevertheless the aspirant to spirituality benefits from his presence, his omnipresence in his everyday life. A Master's work in this field does not know any geographical limits; he works for humanity, surpassing the framework of the mission by which he is recognised. The abhyasi can make progress in his heart to go towards him. Distances do not matter; there are no limits whatsoever. He leads the souls in his wake – those which actually want to follow him and trust him. Surrender, as you know, is the stumbling block; we don't force anyone to follow us. Trust him. Helping you is his mission on Earth; he came with this aim. Be well aware of that."
