By entrusting your heart to our care as you do, you give it all its chances. It needs solid protection to follow its road, without letting itself be diverted from the best route. Man moves in a dangerous world. He must constantly avoid the pitfalls. They are of all sorts; by taking precautions from all sides, his initial purity cannot be affected. The best of his self is thus protected. His divine nature requires all [his] attention. It does not reconcile itself to human turbulences, and calls for serenity. You, who are wise, you chose to follow this way; its accents make sacred canticles resonate in you and touch the right chord. You are making progress and you call the graces more and more, which will distinguish you from your fellow men not yet introduced into the benefit of a true process which makes one enter smoothly into the reality of the being. Let yourself be led; the way is long and pitfalls can arise at every moment. It is enough to know how to thwart them while advancing with a serene heart and surrendered to the guidance of the Master you have actually chosen."

The Earth has a very long history; it has undergone many upheavals, surprising transformations in our appearances and the forms of life that reproduced thereon. Species that would make you shudder – if you were confronted with their strength and their aggressiveness – prevailed in this world during very long periods of time. It was not pleasant to be out there in these parts. Today's man tries to picture these civilisations. The evolution of this planet must continue under conditions that completely escape men's assumptions, in terms of how they will be in a distant future. Their forecasts are based on wrong assumptions. That does not matter; people's minds must be applied to sophisticated calculations where notions of domination are not excluded. They set out to conquer the worlds, yes, but also to impose their law, their techniques and authority: a new kind of colonisation, remote and on a large scale. All current research and preparations are made with this mindset. What prevails is total lack of respect for what can exist on those planets. Man is likely to be unpleasantly surprised to discover, at his expense, that he is not alone and, especially, that he is not the most intelligent."
