To be detached from useless things and go towards the main thing is the most constructive process you could follow. Putting setbacks in perspective is conducive to the stability of the inner condition, which facilitates the expansion of the soul – which is intoxicated with a flavour of eternity. Do not lose sight of this objective. Downplay the ups and downs inherent in any life by acquiring the frame of mind of a true mystic: outwardly active and yet floating, soothed in this space where serenity prevails, in the heart of the divinity. We insist on this double aspect of the process; you must take the necessary steps to act for that to happen. It is what is at stake for your success. For you, it all depends on this balanced attitude, in terms of a line of conduct whereby polarities are harmonised. The attainment of the goal requires all your efforts. The end result cannot be obtained easily. The saying 'many are called, but few are chosen' should not be lost sight of. Progress comforts the candidate in his search and gives him the determination to continue, confident in his success, under the aegis of his Master."
