This period of the year, in our Mission, is conducive to self-assessment². It is important that each one of you should make your own assessment; it should be positive and rather convincing to motivate you enough and let you continue on this way. Then you must make choices; so many attractive activities are proposed that appeal to you, that it is advisable to be selective. Resulting satisfactions and benefits are not of the same order. Man is perpetually confronted with situations where he must make choices likely to drive his life in one direction or another. As concerns the situation that interests us, only his heart can guide him. Has his inner being grown sufficiently to impose its views? That's our wish for him. It is not a question of excluding oneself from life; we repeat it enough. The spiritual practice is no hindrance to a life said to be normal with its many and varied activities. The determined aspirant can put things in perspective and give priority to what is important in his eyes. May you all who remain faithful to us be sufficiently enlightened to carry on, on your road; the heart full with joy under our protection."
