My dear son,

"You have no reason for strictly blaming yourself as regards either France, or any other country. You have always done precisely the right thing. Don't worry; you cannot modify any aspect of the situation. This fact is distressing, but it is part of the events of the politics and a particular mentality that prevails hereabouts at the moment. In the future, all will get back to normal and the Mission will recover its due place. It will get through, surer of itself and strengthened, in a country where recovered freedom will permit it to prosper. May the Mission in the world, under your illuminated leadership and our collective protection, go its own way, as it is set to, and bring to humanity an inestimable benefit. Be in peace, my son, you never disappointed me. Keep on following your way, supported by our love, in spite of difficulties that you must surmount. You have our total confidence."
