In this old Europe, one tends to mix it all. The word sect has become taboo.

"The meaning of the word itself is distorted. The media do much evil by speaking about things which they do not know, and by lumping all the spiritual ways together.

"People's minds, even among non-temple [or non-church] goers, are still largely influenced by religions. There is [on the one hand] what is official, i.e. institutionalized, therefore respectable religions; and [on the other hand] what is not and is to be rejected: 'These movements, which are not good for man, should be hunted down, without even knowing what they are all about.'

"The word sect stirs real mass hysteria, particularly in Europe, and France mainly. Instead, religions that, in the past and even nowadays, did not do only good are accepted. That is the way it goes, so many centuries of power over people can't just be swept away. The teachings of the Masters of the past that have influenced humanity were distorted, utilized by powers of money and personal thirsts for power.

"Thus is the world; everything is dirtied. These Masters gave a moral code, a code of life, clean and beautiful, entirely oriented towards the Creator and the creature.

"How many crimes were committed in the name of these teachings! Think of all that and see the simplicity of what you have found in this way as well as its contribution to your life."
