You have that pathological tendency not to accept the least criticism from your Masters. We are bad because we dare in certain circumstances to criticize you.
"What are things coming to? What poor weaklings you are! You want to grow, grow... but you fear blows. You would prefer to be protected in a cocoon, shock-proof, anti-pain, sterilized... et cetera.
"What can be done of you! Should we resign, as the parents of your time do?
"Do they act for the good of their children or do they simply off load their duty on them? Is this what you expect of us? Take a good look at yourself. Make your own choice, truly. If you want to continue, make yourself immune to your ego, don't be its slave any more. Otherwise, how will we be able to make you advance? We know, my daughter, that you stand well our criticisms. Try to share your point of view with the others to make them become aware of their weakness on this point."
