To love means to surrender to divine will, to its great plans of which the human being is a cog in the machine. Some of them hold prime positions, their mission being of the utmost importance, but each one has a place and plays his own role, though tiny it may seem, in this divine set-up where nothing is lost and nothing is created.
"The vibratory energy animating the worlds, i.e., the entire life, keeps on changing and reproducing images, like kaleidoscopes using some dust of atoms, which [images] are seen on Earth as matter. There all is illusory, only divine energy exists on this planet. It appears in the form that human beings know. Experimental in its achievements, it partakes of the Great Whole, building and destroying its creations in these two universal forms powerful and necessary to a cosmic balance, without which nothing would exist.
"In this great play, in this constant movement, the smallness of human beings is comparable to the infinitely small looking at it through the microscope of the universe. Man claims to be important, which he is not, but he exists by a higher will, and for this reason he deserves respect, since he has divine life.
"To love intensely is to maintain in oneself a constructive energy raising the soul towards levels of consciousness where it is integrated in divinely inspired actions, carried by the great universal creative movement."
