To fight is to live and to act. The entire humanity is caught in this endless movement, like the planet Earth that carries it. Complete inertia leads man to the state of death. The functions of his body call for action; no one can escape the rule. To be built, spiritual life, likewise, requires unceasingly repeated efforts. Our candidates must understand this concept of perseverance well, and honour it if they want results. The idea has spread among our brothers according to which: 'it is Master who does everything'. It is not altogether right. It probably reassures them, letting them believe that they do not have to put themselves into a process in which they hope for salvation. You know that is not true. The candidate is the actor of his own success, under the high guidance of his Master who acts at his own level. It is comforting for many of them to believe that good thoughts are enough for their progress. They must understand well that nothing is obtained easily, neither in spirituality nor elsewhere.
"A reasonable man knows very well what the issue is all about. Life on this Earth is not a cosy cradle in which one knows no efforts and worries. May each one of our candidates wake up completely to the divine life by committing themselves to the maximum, thus attracting all possible graces."
