All that you acquired in terms of material goods is nothing. The more you advance and the more you realize that objects you like have no longer the same value as before in your eyes, you go towards detachment. You must go even farther, and consider what surrounds you as being of temporary use. Memories must stay in your head and not be focused on objects that you remain attached to. Keep your attention more and more on all that emanates from the spiritual life, it is also rich in past and present memories.

"Reconsider your life as a whole, and set out to review this long way that is now behind you. All stages that shaped your present level do not lack diversity and critical features. Any sort of attachment is a handicap. It raises waves of nostalgia by bringing back memories of the past.

"Since your objective is perfectly defined, project yourself toward the future. Imagine what more you can achieve for the good of your advancement and all resulting joys."
