Detachment is the key. Considering events with sufficient hindsight, standing in relation to them by considering one's smallness in the face of the power of creation and the ceaseless movement that animates it, is a sign of wisdom.
"As previously stated, what does a creature represent in this vast system? 'A breath, a nothing, and nothing more.' The formula can be retained; it is realistic and men would better become imbued with it and not believe that the world revolves around them. May our brothers anchor themselves to this realistic vision and privilege—their sadhana—while attaching to material life to the extent that is necessary. Thus, they will advance more serenely towards what, for them, is essential. In conformity with the divine laws, they will save invaluable time.
"Man lets himself be caught up by the tide of life; a spiritual openness helps him put things in perspective. Our brothers have that motivation; they understood the need for making efforts and for privileging a process that has become necessary to them. We are delighted to see opening out in their hearts, the bustling of faith and ardour that does not fail with time.
"Happy are those who have this privilege: an incarnation bearing invaluable fruits already. We encourage and bless them. They are currently the leaven of the future Mission established in this world by divine will."
