To you my dear son,

"We understand your fears and permanent worry caused by this perspective of the succession concerning the Mission leader. You can realize how difficult that is. Your own experience shows that it is not easy to replace you. You will admit, my son, that we do not have an immediate and satisfactory answer to give you. Even though this responsibility seems to you heavier and heavier to hold, we do not have a miracle solution.

"The answer will come at the right time, be patient, my dear son. We understand your weariness and your fear of the future. Have confidence in us, surround yourself with, and delegate more and more to brothers whom you can rely on. It is not time for you to leave the place.

"We found this particular means to communicate and send you our encouragements, while showing you the way, in broad outline. We cannot currently do better and more. Feel easy in your mind; we are acting for the good, even though we do not yet provide you with precise directives.

"That is no small task: to choose your successor. Let us hope, failing a clear answer, to ease your heart and restore your courage to forge ahead. Our divine blessings support you."
