From time immemorial, the truth was revealed to men rather parsimoniously. The prophets did so according to the time and the prevailing usages. Their teachings were not really understood, and were even particularly distorted, interpreted according to the prevailing spirit, making it lose its essence. As was said by a Great Son of God, 'Do not cast your pearls before swine'—make of it what you will.

"Each one receives according to one's evolution, and the state of his heart. The teaching is given for all, in that spirit, and history will keep repeating itself until the end of time. In this world, there cannot be uniformity on that aspect; humanity is only as one, but it comprises an infinite variety of individuals, in the same way as creation is multi-faceted. Was the teaching provided in our way really understood until now? Our brothers who like reading approach it intellectually, but to what extent does it touch the hearts esoterically?

"The new era, so often mentioned and mysterious for men, will bring a kind of levelling of knowledge, insofar as an adjustment can be made in that matter. These writings themselves will be interpreted in so many ways, analyzed, and even criticized, as man tends to do. They may also in the future have unanimous support.

"Man must grow; it is in the nature of things. He does not remain a child throughout his life. Humanity as a whole must also grow in wisdom and understanding of the divine laws, which hitherto have been completely beyond his reach. Let us all continue to work in that direction: the liberation of souls moving towards a higher destiny, having found the source of divine life in all its splendour."
