Look in front of you and not behind; regrets are useless, and you know it. They are sterile. What you are building today is more important and will not be transient. All your current environment, reflection of bygone days, will sink into oblivion, but what is being built in you today will remain valuable beyond time. Nostalgia is good only when it brings things back to the imperishable, the essence. It is suitable for the soul when it makes it grow in stature. In that, it clarifies the reasons for this state, the thirst for the Divine is felt more strongly than usual. All the twists and turns justify this ideal, which sooner or later will prevail, sweeping away all the rest, i.e., the useless.

"This thirst for the Divine is to be considered first and foremost with lucidity, since definitively it leads the being into this royal way—point of no return—which, in the past, is equivalent to detachment. To look in front of oneself is to go beyond oneself and also to excel oneself: that is essential.

"In a spiritual process, choices have to be made. Some commitments take place in due time, at the very moment when the soul is fulfilled. Then these choices are made naturally without regret or nostalgia whatsoever; a new stage can start. Love can hold the entire place, conquering the least innermost recess of a heart to be caught in its entirety. This kind of love cannot be compared to anything else; one needs to experience it to understand it, and to deal with all its might. The being, then, can serenely continue on his way; a storm can rise, it cannot do anything about it."
