Human beings are far from being perfect, and our brothers are a striking illustration of this comment. To follow a spiritual process does not remove the negative aspects of each one of them, as quickly as it would be desirable. Their objective should be to move towards perfection, which cannot be acquired after a few years of Sahaj Marg; that would be too easy! It is therefore necessary to stand by each other, by taking into account the strong points rather than the weak points of our fellow creatures. It is easier to look at the others than to see oneself in all objectivity.

"Certain faults are rather difficult to bear, coming from a brother or a sister placed (not without reason) on one's way. Life is as a whole, and it is necessary to be satisfied with it, on pain of slowing down one's own evolution. Some have special gifts, others do not have any: each one receives the tools necessary for one's program of life. The world is as a whole and men need one another. It is with humility that they must consider this aspect of things. Uniformity would be disastrous and very monotonous for all.

"To progress in a spiritual way is a benefit offered to all men. It is only up to them to make efforts. In this matter, they cannot envy their kind, as at the beginning they all have the same opportunity. Each one must take care of oneself. Before God, neither calculation nor pretensions are ever relevant.

"The greatest objectivity is required, in this field more than in any other one. We accompany our candidates on this long way, sometimes painful and uncertain in terms of the future. Faith, confidence and surrender are essential; once more, we come to this conclusion.

"Blessed are all these beings, grappling with their own traps. They are advancing towards deliverance. God is Great."
