God's intentions are inscrutable. He leads souls to their true destination by a circuitous route, which is your case. It was necessary, several times, to move the pieces on the chessboard, so that you came towards us. Your previous researches were not useless. Your heart was in need and was not really satisfied with all that preceded your arrival in our way. Mishaps are sometimes necessary, so that thereafter, a true choice can be made. This preliminary quest is not an obstacle to spiritual life; it permits one to commit himself with more conviction, while putting aside the regret for not having tried out something else.
"It is very rare to meet, in one's youth, the right Master. By and large, we all experienced a few things before reaching the goal; and that is a good thing. Man's natural curiosity encourages him to proceed in that way, even in this area.
"Nothing is done without reason. To find one's Master in a life is a rare blessing. Lastly, the disciple can fulfil his potential through his practice and get reinvigorated in his faith. He is encouraged to make efforts which will lead him towards his destination, under the benevolent protection of the chosen guide."
