In Sahaj Marg, we do not like to make visible miracles or big demonstrations to impress the crowds; that is not our aim. What matters is to lead you all to the destination as quickly as possible, with simplicity, moderation and efficacy. The lovers of grand rituals will be disappointed.

You enter the Mission, it suits you and you stay – you are sages, you have gone beyond superfluity.

The truth is simple, so is the individual work.

We do not ask you to live as hermits or to be cloistered. You live a normal life which leads you each day to accept responsibilities and face up to them. Evasion is not a good solution. Life is the best playing field, where one can learn the rules: low blows, bending of regulations, injustices, equally fraternity, defeat and victory. Everything that can develop human qualities in an individual, that is fundamental.

The spiritual life is parallel to all of that, but it benefits from all these experiences.

In time, you will get into the habit, if only for an instant, apart from your usual practice, of plunging into yourselves and gaining strength from there; in certain circumstances you will find there the inspiration that you are missing.

Never shy away from your responsibilities and the difficulties that emerge in your life; they are your best assets to advancement, depending on the way you face up to them.
