A life is never simple. Happiness, as human beings conceive of it, means stages that are happier than others. Worries are inevitable; they shape the personality of each one to face his or her karma. Advancing in spirituality allows one to divest oneself of what is useless, to develop at a higher level and, above all, to really progress towards a more refined level of consciousness. Everything is very subtle in the meanderings of the Spirit – that which determines the personality and the form one's destiny must take for the blossoming of the soul. So many factors come into play. The multiple aspects of life cannot be understood except by a sage, and that after many hardships and trials forge him, from life to life, into a 'special' personality. The great spiritual Masters manage to overcome the greatest trials, protected by their inner strength – there lies the goal of any endeavour, when the soul longs for bliss above all else. From one lifetime to the next, a path unfolds that allows the wise to determine what they will be in accordance with their capabilities. Love and surrender are a must, and faith and perseverance allow one to reach the highest.
