Detaching from what is useless, seeing only the good and the beautiful in everything, allows one to focus especially on what is essential, that which is decisive in one’s lifetime. So many struggles and trials must be overcome in order to understand the true purpose of an incarnation. A human being cannot know everything about his or her past history; what is done is done. No one can change anything about what exists, but everything is possible starting now and going forward. Many of our abhyasis understand this, and they work accordingly. Every step taken from this perspective is decisive for the future. Indeed, everything is counted. Thought is an act, and this should surely be considered. Selfcontrol is not always easy when one feels assaulted in one way or another, and yet this is to be considered; efforts should be made in this direction in order to achieve the goal. Perseverance and faith are crucial in this very special design in which everything has long been foreseen and counted. Doing one’s best with faith and trust is the wisdom that is appropriate for all.
