To believe in being superior to one's fellow man is a huge hindrance to one's own evolution. If this applies to you, you should seriously address yourself to [fighting] this fault. If you are fortunate financially, intellectually and psychologically to achieve your wishes, whatever your life, thank God. It is to Him who you owe all these gifts and not to yourself. He could have made it such that you are a tramp and other people's contempt is vented on you. Consider yourself happy with the little or the much given to you, without ever believing you are superior to anyone.
"The homeless person who manages a little better than his neighbour in misfortune, he also can believe he is superior.
"Be strict with yourself on this aspect also. Your spiritual condition will be reinforced accordingly. Without slackening, hunt down your failings; these are spokes in the wheels of your progress. Work on humility; all great saints are in this frame of mind. It is essential to your progress. Some categories of weeds are tougher to extirpate from your inner garden than others. Fight against them; it is a very important aspect for you, which is worth your focusing on it at length. It's up to you to take stock and act."
