All that forms life on this Earth must be able to appear. Man must go through all possible states and thus use all his resources. Life is as one; it is movement and renewal. The divine manifestations are permanently in operation. The work is endlessly resumed and polished up, according to established rules—destruction and elimination belonging to this eternal series of new beginnings. This planet has its own characteristics; nothing and nobody escapes its laws.

"A reincarnated Master, even if he were the greatest, goes through inevitable torments. He must assert himself in spite of everything. Nothing is easy for him, contrary to what his disciples might think.

"All that this succession of difficulties does is to serve his greatness and to situate it historically. One can remember his fights and his sufferings even more than all the rest, which does not catch the attention of his close relations. That is how man is.
