It is important not to harm others. On the basis of this principle, a spiritual process can be established favourably. As the human being is not perfect, he should not dwell on the weaknesses of others. He has enough to do with himself, but many of our brothers are very busy observing the others, and neglect their own faults. They belong to them to such a point that they end up not seeing them any more. It is so much easier to apply this policy and to think that only the others must change.
"In our way, we are not specialists in confession; that is not our matter, but it is good that each one keeps a check on himself, and corrects himself, as far as possible. This attitude necessarily fosters the sadhana. Our longstanding candidates are ready for this process, and every one of them can observe themselves in this way for their own good. Criticisms, judgment, and 'an eye for an eye' are degrading, for life itself sees to it to settle everyone's accounts.
"Each human being has his own challenge in this aspect and he would better understand it, and proceed seriously, if he really wanted to progress. In a genuine spiritual process, nothing should be neglected. When one wants to go into a luminous road, his spiritual process must be free of all that can slow it down. The fact of observing oneself should not be rejected; one has to remain well conscious about it.
"May our candidates not forget it and thus place themselves under the most favourable conditions."
