It is good sometimes to break off and to take stock of progress made. Does that mean detachment from non-essentials, a better control of oneself, of one's emotions, generating various feelings that could be harmful according to the situations? It is important to be able to stand back and analyze one's behaviour objectively.

"To which extent has sadhana changed your life? How do you place yourself at the current stage of your life, and how do you foresee the future? Such an assessment is desirable and it can help you make good resolutions. To take a good look at oneself is to adopt a positive and stimulating attitude in a thorough spiritual process. In this matter, each one is in the face of himself. No one except the Master can interfere in this research.

"It is good for our aspirants to read the books proposed in the Mission. Many ignore them and that is unfortunate for them. If they actually wanted to look further into the meaning of their contents, they could all the better find their bearings in their quest towards the Absolute. We hope that one day the reading of these messages will be included in their life routine, that they will regard them as a friendly presence blessing them for their efforts and perseverance, leading them more than ever in spirit to the feet of their Revered Master.

"This state of mind fosters a process followed with confidence resulting in surrender. Thus a searcher gives himself every chance of making a success of his undertakings. For one who really wants to progress, nothing should be overlooked. May all our brothers become well aware of these indispensable necessities for the progress of a soul towards the goal!"
